Monday X Lotto millionaire hits it for six

A man from Adelaide’s northern suburbs has celebrated becoming a Monday X Lotto millionaire with a day at the cricket.

Having registered his winning entry on an Easiplay Club membership card, the regular player was able to be contacted by SA Lotteries yesterday, and was surprised with the news of his $1 million prize win.

“You little beauty!” the winner shouted.

“I’m off to the cricket to celebrate and hopefully my luck will rub off on the Aussies,” he said.

Beyond the celebration of his lottery win, the recent retiree has no immediate plans for his newfound fortune.

The winning System entry was purchased at Seaton Supermarket and was the sole Division One winning entry in Monday night’s draw.

The Division One winner is not the only local player with reason to celebrate. South Australian players benefited from Monday and Wednesday X Lotto’s new Division Six, winning more than 5,000 prizes in Monday night’s draw by matching any one main number and two supplementary numbers.

SA Lotteries’ profits from Monday and Wednesday X Lotto are distributed to State hospitals for the benefit of all South Australians.
