Megadraw millionaire to fly first class with $1.25 million prize
6 July 2012
South Australia’s mystery Saturday X Lotto Megadraw millionaire has claimed his $1.25 million prize, and now the man from Adelaide’s western suburbs is getting set to board a first class flight with his family to celebrate his win.
“My family and I are long overdue for a holiday and, now that we’re millionaires, I guess we’ll be flying first class,” the winner laughed.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling to think that I have actually won the lottery,” he said.
“Everyone I know has always said I’m a lucky guy, but I’ve never experienced good fortune like this before.”
The regular player purchased the winning Easi-Pick on the spur-of-the-moment at the Better Health Pharmacy in Fulham Gardens.
SA Lotteries’ latest high-flyer was not the only South Australian to win big in Saturday’s X Lotto Megadraw, with a woman from Adelaide’s western suburbs and two customer syndicates also winning a $1.25 million Division One prize.
The four local Megadraw winners shared the $30 million Saturday X Lotto Division One prize pool with 20 interstate players.
SA Lotteries’ profits from Saturday X Lotto are distributed to State hospitals for the benefit of all South Australians.
