Wedding bells for Saturday X Lotto millionaire

19 November 2012

A man from Adelaide’s northern suburbs has claimed his $1,073,631 Saturday X Lotto fortune, more than a week after the draw, and is now happily making plans to wed his girlfriend.

“We’ve been talking about getting married for a while, and there’s no better time than now,” the winner said.

“I’ve won the lottery, and I’ll soon be marrying the love of my life,” the winner said.

“I am the luckiest man in the world!”

The overnight millionaire, aged in his 40s, also has plans to share his prize with his family.

The man’s winning 14-game Easi-Pick was purchased at Tea Tree Plaza News Plus in Modbury on the spur-of-the-moment.

“I’d just popped into Tea Tree Plaza to do a bit of shopping, and thought I’d grab a ticket for the draw,” the regular player told SA Lotteries.

“I just cannot believe my luck! It’s just too good,” he mused.

The lucky local shared the $4.2 million Saturday X Lotto Division One prize pool on 10 November with three interstate players.

SA Lotteries’ profits from Saturday X Lotto are distributed to State hospitals for the benefit of all South Australians.
