How to win
To win The Pools, you need to match your selected numbers with the numbers determined by the results of the soccer games specified in the relevent weekly Match List. The more numbers you match, the greater your prize. Prizes are paid for matching each of the following number combinations:
Winning with a System entry
System entries win multiple prizes. Refer to The Pools Systems Prize Table to determine how many prizes you've won with your System entry by:
- Locating your System entry number (eg. System 8) across the top row.
- Scrolling down to the row reflecting the configuration of numbers you matched in the draw (eg. 4 correct + 1 supp)
You'll see that a System 8 entry matching 4 numbers and 1 supplementary number wins six Division Four prize shares and 12 Division Five prize shares.
Prize pool distribution
The total prize pool for The Pools is distributed as follows:
Division 1 - 65% of the prize fund
Division 2 - 2% of the prize fund
Division 3 - 6% of the prize fund
Division 4 - 15% of the prize fund
Division 5 - 12% of the prize fund
Chance of winning
Your chance of winning depends on the number of games (or lines) that you purchase on your ticket. The chance of winning a Division One prize in The Pools is 1 in 2,760,681 for a single-game entry.
A two-game minimum entry applies to The Pools Access the chance of winning for all SA Lotteries games.
